The French Alps cover a large arc in the South-Eastern part of the country and span across several administrative regions: Rhône Alpes and PACA (Provence, Alps, Côte d'Azur).

Contamines Valley
The Contamines valley goes South from Saint Gervais. It ends near a small church at Notre Dame de la Gorge. In this area, the TMB "Tour du Mont Blanc" path starts and goes to the Balme refuge.
