This village is located in a side valley accessed from Saint Gervais / Contamines road. Going to the village by car is a little adventure in itself: a steep climb on a road that only has one lane on many portions. Once you have arrived to the last houses, the road stops and gives access to a number of hiking paths leading to different areas that include the Voza pass and the bottom of the Bionnassay glacier.
Another access to the glacier is possible from Saint Gervais, using the Mont Blanc Tramway. This train climbs from about 600m in the valley to 2400m at a place called le Nid d'Aigle (eagle's nest).
