Collonges la Rouge (Collonges the red) is located in between Limousin, Perigord and Quercy.
It is on the list of the most beautiful villages of France.
Its most interesting feature is that all of its building are made from the same blood red stone.
Collonges is very old: the first records of town activity date back from 783. The village is very well preserved, but is a bit of a museum.
