Ferme de la Fière

Located near a bridge on the Merderet river, this fortified farm saw heavy fighting after D-Day as german troops of the 1057th Grenadier Regiment and 100th Panzer battalion attacked positions held by U.S. 82nd Airborne division. The farme itself is now a very nice bed and breakfast where veterans like to stay.
