The Eiffel Tower in Winter
Caption
A classic winter photo of the Eiffel Tower, taken from the small gardens on its sides. In Summer, it would have been hidden by the tree leaves. The unique paint used on it is clearly visible here, as well as the protective nets used by the workers applying the latest coat of paint. The tower has been repainted more than 17 times since it was built, going from ocre, a reddish brown to the current bronze color applied between 2001 and 2003. For more technical details check out the official website of the Eiffel Tower."
