The small town of le Crotoy has a rich history that dates back from the Middle ages. It changed hands several times during the hundred years war and its castle was used as a jail for famous prisoners, including Joan of Arc. Today, it is a peaceful seaside resort that marks the northern side of the baie de Somme. Its small harbor is sometimes visited by seals at high tide. As you can see from this gallery, it is also an ideal setting to capture the sunset, especially if you have good boots and a mud-proof tripod.
