The church of Saint Nectaire
Caption
The superb 12th century roman church of Saint Nectaire is located on top of the hill on which the town is built: mount Cornadore. Its architecture is typical of Auvergnat roman art. The church was damaged during the convention and part of it had to be rebuilt in 1875. It was also undergoing repairs during our visit. This is a view of the back of the church, corresponding to the choir.
